Rev. Dr. Douglas A. Wirt holds degrees from San Francisco School of Theology (Doctor of Ministry), Pacific School of Religion (Master of Divinity) and Carleton College (BA in History). 

 

Ordained in Portland, Oregon in 1983, he has served as a pastor to congregations in California, Oregon and Arizona. 

 

In addition he has served as a director of an ecumenical food bank through Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon and as one of the interim directors of the Ecumenical Parish, a group of inner NE Portland congregations of three denominations doing mission together in the 1970- 80s.

 

He is the father of two adult sons.  Doug enjoys gardening, walking on the beach and hiking, as well as traveling.  He has visited with our mission partners four times in Ecuador as well as in the two Congolese nations, Lesotho, Botswana, and Mexico.
